Constant stomach and esophagal pain?
I have lived in Spain on & off about 2 years. I have had a severe stomach ache since 12/22/07. I was taken to ER for indescribable pain, can only say it felt like someone was pouring acid straight into me.They said it was gastritis and sent me home with omeprezol (previced?) and what amounts to pepto. 2 days later the severe acid burning pain returned with vomiting everything I put into my body inc. water or just heaving if there was nothing in my stomach, every 20 mins. Another ER trip, different hospital, but sent home with the same meds and told the same. Days later went to a different hospital b/c the pain never stopped and was admitted for further testing. I had cat scan, sonogram, & xray, all showed nothing. But, when they did an endoscopy they found Barrett's esophagus so severe that it's in the ultimate stage. I can't eat without hurting, it still hurts severely and Iwonder is that normal with Barrett's? the pain is driving me absolutely insane I can't take it, what can I do?
