Are there ski towns similar to Whistler, B.C. within roughly a 10 hour driving time from central Wisconsin?

A 2 week family trip is in the works, originally to Whistler, until a relative's fear of flying came to light. What we're trying to plan now is a trip to a similar ski resort/town locale. Iron Mt. was a suggestion, though I've been there and it's not nearly as breathtaking as the photos of Whistler that I've seen. Any ideas, the U.S.A., or Canada within a roughly 10 hour driving distance would be great! Personal experiences would also be appreciated.
