Whatever, the Russians were content to sit back and let Hitler do his thing. It took Hitler attacking turning on them for them to get involved. The Brits would have likely been in real trouble had it not been for the equipment they received from the US via lend-lease. But I won't downplay Britain's role. And I know the USSR took the most casualties of any of the "allies" (I use that term loosely in their case), but that's mainly because their "strategy" was to just keep throwing their soldiers into the meat grinder in the hopes of winning a war of attrition.
