How to turn on power to bazooka?

I'm installing a 6" bazooka subwoofer with built-in amp into my trunk. how do I wire the power to subwoofer & how do I turn it on. Does the subwoofer red wire go straight to the battery?? Does the negative black wire go to chasis? & what colored wires go to the stereo??
